This research examines the issue of multi-project management in modern enterprises, which involves a shift from the operational approach to project management (single-project oriented) directed towards the strategic importance of projects in the business activity of enterprises. The first part of the paper explains the nature of project portfolios and the process of project portfolio management. In the second part of the paper the author presents the concept of a set of basic methods for project portfolio management, classified according to specific stages in the project portfolio management process.
