The author discusses the basic concepts relating to the strategic renewal of a company and the strategic choices made during this process. It also describes the decision-making paradox dilemmas which may occur during the renewal process of a company and indicates possible ways of dealing with them through the use of spatial and temporal separation mechanisms.
