Ambidexterity as a Dynamic Capability in Response to Environmental Uncertainty

Increasing complexity, intensity and the unpredictability of changes in the environment causes that companies must more often operate under uncertainty. This in turn forces companies to shape and develop dynamic capabilities that enable them to sense and seize opportunities by reconfiguring resources. Using the method of analysis and critique of the literature, the article discusses the concept of ambidexterity as a dynamic capability to balance exploration and exploitation and which therefore can be perceived as predestination for companies operating in uncertain environments.
