Conditions of Agile Management of Public Supplies in the Reality of E-Commerce

AN agile supply chain strategy consists of creating and developing an organizational network and knowledge of the market by means of advanced IT technologies and ecommerce tools. Features of agility are manifested both in the field of process management as well as production and delivery of products and services. They are relevant to many industries, including the healthcare sector. The aim of this article is to present the determinants of agile public supplies in the healthcare industry, considering the British market in comparison with the Polish reality and European trends. The Procurement Development Programme for the NHS England, which is intended to increase the economic efficiency of public hospitals, has been taken as the benchmark for considerations used in this article.
