Marka i jej tożsamość jako źródło wartości dodanej obszaru metropolitalnego

Źródłem klasycznego modelu wartości dodanych jest marka postrzegana jako zestaw cech funkcjonalnych i emocjonalnych, które są istotne w procesie wyboru oraz kreowania satysfakcji dla odbiorców. Koncepcja wartości dodanych ma także zastosowanie w odniesieniu do marek terytorialnych. Jednostki terytorialne, chcąc tworzyć wartość dodaną dla swoich interesariuszy, powinny przyjąć koncepcję marketingową skoncentrowaną na budowaniu marki. Jednocześnie obszary metropolitalne pod względem pełnionych funkcji i posiadanych atrybutów stają się do siebie podobne. To, co może je wyróżniać i determinować preferencje grup docelowych, to zdolność do kreowania wartości dodanej. W tym kontekście kluczowe i strategiczne znaczenie ma zdefiniowanie tożsamości marki terytorialnej. Należy podkreślić, że w przypadku obszarów metropolitalnych proces tworzenia wartości dodanej wymaga przyjęcia istotnych założeń dotyczących relacji między jednostkami ją tworzącymi, które mogą zapewnić efekt synergii wartości dodanych.
