Abstract

The objective of this article is to analyze the spatial diffusion of economic growth in WAEMU. We used for our analysis recent panel data for the eight countries of the union over the period 1960 -2 015. The results of analysis reveal that economic growth spreads spatially and positively in the union. The promotion of economic cooperation and the policy of free movement of goods and services and individuals in the union remain thus very favorable to the growth of these countries.
