Abstract

In the first part of the paper the concept of managers' personal values is described and the nature of innovativeness is presented as an example of such values. The second part contains the findings of empirical research conducted among the managers of Polish companies. The findings presented relate to three research areas: (1) the importance of mangers' personal values, (2) management characteristics relating to innovation in organizations, (3) the importance of innovativeness in human resources management.
