The studies conducted so far referring to "the paradigm" mainly focus on one meaning contexts. Therefore, we claim that it is appropriate to broaden the conceptualization of the topic and to investigate in what kind of dimensions the word "paradigm" is used. The method used is bibliometric analysis and content evaluation of the texts produced he results of the analysis conducted show that in the academic world there is a consensus for different interpretations of the notion "paradigm", which can be proved by the academic papers analysed and reviewed. On the basis of the research we claim that the paradigm is used for clarifying methodological scope, determining streams in management and is used as an unspecified linguistic term. Thus, there is a need to undertake a broader discussion on the appropriateness of using the term "paradigm" in other than methodological studies, especially because the frequency of using this term in titles, key words and abstracts is growin.
