Competences, CompetitivenessAbstract
The concept of key competence in modern life plays a very important economic role. It can help companies, operating in a changing and dynamic environment, to build the appropriate competitive position and thus expand the product, markets, organizational structure, market relations, etc.. It is emphasized that there is no single, universal concept of core competencies, the implementation of which would provide a guarantee of success. It is therefore necessary to take appropriate initiatives, activities and creativity whose aim is to identify or the building the "core competence". Knowing its own strengths causes a pressure on the development of the organization through innovation, creativity, customer service and improvement of the quality of goods and services offered. It also allows the implementation of mechanisms of active competition with main competitors based on internal strengths. The article is devoted to the theoretical review of selected concepts of key competencies to enhance their dynamic character and to better harmonize theory and practice.
