The purpose of this article is to present management sciences in the context of epistemological and methodological issues. The discussion of the pre-paradigmatic stage of the development of management sciences is an incentive to undertake this matter. The article is strictly theoretical. The authors compare the process of the evolution of paradigms in the natural sciences with the existing multi-paradigmatic perspective in management sciences. They also point to the rapid development of research methods and the need to compile them, depending on the nature of the research. According to the authors, the on-going transgression of various fields of science will support the development of new research methods, partly assimilated by management sciences. Therefore, due to methodological pluralism, which is a consequence of the interdisciplinary nature of management sciences, the emergence of a dominant paradigm, will not be possible to achieve.
