Effet de l'inclusion financière sur la pauvreté multidimensionnelle au Togo

Cet article examine l'effet de l'inclusion financière sur la pauvreté sous l'angle des privations multidimensionnelles des individus au Togo. A partir des données extraites de la base d'enquête Finscope, un modèle probit à variable instrumentale est utilisé pour les estimations économétriques. Les résultats montrent qu'une augmentation de la probabilité de l'inclusion financière de 1% est associée à une baisse de 3,5% de l'indice de pauvreté multidimensionnelle (IPM) au Togo. L'effet est plus prononcé chez les femmes et chez les individus vivant en milieux urbains. L'investissement gouvernemental et la réglementation du secteur financier seront une étape nécessaire pour renforcer l'inclusion financière au Togo.
