Analyse de la décomposition des inégalités dans l’utilisation des soins de santé maternelle au Togo

Résumé

Objectif : L’objectif général de cette recherche est d’analyser l’inégalité dans l’utilisation des soins de santé maternelle au Togo.

Conception/méthodologie/approche : En se servant de la décomposition de l'indice de concentration, de la courbe de concentration et des données de l'enquête démographique de santé de 2013 (EDS III) au Togo.

Résultats : Les résultats révèlent que l'âge, le niveau d'éducation, la profession de la femme et le lieu de résidence sont les déterminants de l'utilisation des services de santé maternelle. Ainsi, les groupes d'âge de 15-20 ans et de 31-49 ans contribuent faiblement aux inégalités dans les besoins de services de santé, respectivement de -0,024 et de -0,022 chez les femmes.

Originalité/ valeur : Ces résultats suggèrent qu'il est nécessaire d'encourager des politiques essentielles visant à améliorer le niveau d'éducation des femmes et de l'indice de richesse afin de réduire le risque d'inégalité dans l'utilisation des soins de santé maternelle au Togo.
