Résumé

Objectif : Analyser l’impact des interventions du Fonds Monétaire International (FMI) dans les pays confrontés à des crises financières, en mettant un accent particulier sur le cas du Liban. L’étude vise à identifier les facteurs économiques et sociaux déterminant l ’ efficacité des programmes d’austérité imposés par le FMI, tout en fournissant des recommandations spécifiques pour le contexte libanais.

Conception/méthodologie/approche : Cette recherche repose sur une analyse approfondie des sources secondaires, notamment les rapports du FMI, des études académiques, et des données économiques, afin de comparer les résultats dans différents pays et d’appliquer ces conclusions au Liban.

Résultats : Les résultats montrent que la réussite des interventions du FMI dépend largement de la cohérence des réformes économiques et de leur adaptation aux spécificités nationales. Cependant, les politiques d’austérité ont souvent des impacts négatifs significatifs, tels que l’aggravation des inégalités sociales et la dégradation des services publics. Concernant le Liban, l’étude souligne que les interventions risquent d’échouer sans une gouvernance transparente, une coordination efficace et des mesures adaptées aux particularités socio-économiques du pays.

Originalité/valeur : Cet article se distingue par une analyse détaillée des programmes du FMI dans un cadre global, tout en proposant des recommandations pratiques, spécifiques au Liban. L’étude explore l’équilibre nécessaire entre réformes économiques, équité sociale, et gouvernance pour maximiser l’efficacité des interventions.
