Abstract

This article aims to analyze the role of traditional governance and e-governance in the urbanization-governance-income inequality relationship in sub-Saharan Africa countries. To achieve this, panel data is used for 48 countries covering the period 2005-2016. Dynamic modeling is adopted and the LSDVC method is used to estimate our model. The results show that urbanization strengthens inequalities in sub-Saharan Africa countries. However, the use of telecommunications services and the quality of public services combined with urbanization reduce income inequalities.
