Aim and scope
Aim
The primary aim of Research Papers in Economics and Finance (REF) is to foster the development and dissemination of high-quality research that advances knowledge in the fields of economics and finance. The journal seeks to promote rigorous academic inquiry by encouraging the submission of original studies—both theoretical and empirical—that contribute to a deeper understanding of key economic and financial phenomena. In particular, REF supports research that applies mathematical, statistical, and econometric methods to address challenges of practical and policy relevance in contemporary economies.
Scope
Research Papers in Economics and Finance covers a wide spectrum of topics within the disciplines of economics and finance.
In the area of economics, the journal invites contributions that explore micro- and macroeconomic policies, contemporary economic theory, processes of development and economic growth, business cycles, sectoral dynamics, market functioning, and the spatial and regional dimensions of economic systems.
In the area of finance, Research Papers in Economics and Finance seeks research that addresses the macroeconomic implications of capital flows, the determinants of financial decision-making and investment behaviour, and the structure, performance, and regulation of financial institutions and markets. The journal also welcomes studies in corporate finance, public finance, and international financial systems, with particular interest in issues relevant to both advanced and emerging economies.
